Hello! My name is Meghan LaPrairie. On any given day, you might find me working in the garden, practicing yoga, playing soccer with my children, or trying out a new vegetarian dish I saw on Pinterest. 

I am an empath. My friends describe me as having openness, honesty and inquisitiveness. When I asked my partner what first drew him to me, he said it was my curiosity and questions. I take this same thirst for knowledge coupled with my compassion into my photography work. Every new project is an exciting opportunity to help my clients better reach their customers. That, in turn, takes the world one step closer to kindness and equality.

My passion is for creating evocative photos of people, food, and events. The stories we tell with pictures have the power to stay with us in a way that words alone cannot achieve. This power drives social change and helps to lift up those around us who are disadvantaged.

While I am based in Maryland, Washington, D.C., and Northern Virginia I love to travel! If you’re not local, let’s talk about having me come out to meet you wherever you are.
